ATHENA
Plans and hosts TBF's premier fundraising event to showcase the presentation of the ATHENA® Award. This committee also oversees the processes for nominating and selecting the ATHENA Award recipient according to the criteria established by the ATHENA Foundation.
Communications
Develops and implements TBF's marketing plan including distribution of press releases, arranging for media interviews and coverage, producing and distributing the newsletter, and maintaining TBF's public website.
Fund Development
Plans, implements and coordinates fundraising activities to benefit TBF's operating funds and The Business Forum Foundation's scholarship program. Ensures that all proposed fundraising activities have Board approval.
Membership
Oversees all aspects of TBF's membership eligibility and process including guiding the organization's efforts to identify and attract new members, coordinating member application and renewal, coordinating production of member directory and maintaining criteria for membership.
Outreach
Selects, plans and conducts activities that offer girls and women opportunities to learn about the business and professional world, and that enable TBF members to explore new careers and professional opportunities.
Program
Plans and oversees the monthly membership meetings and other member events. Responsibilities include scheduling speakers, arranging the meeting place, supervising registration, and coordinating with other committees for publicity and tracking attendance.
Scholarship
Establishes criteria for awarding scholarships and for selecting the women who will receive them. Also plans and conducts events for scholarship recipients.
Special Events
Plans and hosts other fund-raising events, including the ATHENA Young Professional event and the TBF-EWGA The Good, the Bad and the Ugly Golf Outing. This committee also oversees the processes for nominating and selecting the recipient of the ATHENA Young Professional Award.
