The Business Forum's ATHENA Events
Each year, The Business Forum hosts two events that are administered by
ATHENA International:
Both events honor men and women who help women build their leadership skills and attain professional excellence. Proceeds from both these events support The Business Forum's scholarship giving.
ATHENA Young Professional Award Program
The ATHENA Young Professional Award program was launched by ATHENA International in 2007. It honors emerging community leaders whose professional and personal achievements make them ideal role models for young women.
We use the nomination and selection criteria set by
ATHENA International, which administers the ATHENA AwardŽ Program worldwide. Both men and women between the ages of 25 and 40 are eligible for the award. The criteria are:
- The individual is an emerging leader who demonstrates excellence, creativity and initiative in his or her business or profession.
- The individual clearly serves as a role model for young women, personally and professionally.
- The individual provides valuable service by contributing time and energy to improve the quality of life for others in the community.
We are now accepting nominations for the 2010 ATHENA Young Professional Award. If you know someone who would qualify for this award, please complete the
Nomination Form. The deadline for nominations is September 15, 2010.
2010 ATHENA Young Professional Award Event
The Business Forum will host the third ATHENA Young Professional Award event on
November 9, 2010 to honor our nominees and announce the award recipient. The event will be at the Top of the Park (Inn on the Park) and will start at 5:30 PM.
