2011 ATHENA Award Recipient, Lauri Binius Droster, will talk to us about what it’s like to Work in a “Man’s” World. Lauri Binius Droster leads the Droster Team of financial advisors at RBC Wealth Management and is an inspiration to many women in a field dominated by men.
Her team, headed by Lauri and two other female partners, has achieved recognition as being among the top 5% of the firm’s financial consultants. The past president of the Women Association of Financial Consultants at RBC Wealth Management, Lauri’s accomplishments in her field have resulted in her being recognized as being in the top 1% of financial consultants nationwide.
Lauri leads by example, consistently demonstrating to her colleagues that the path to excellence requires good communication with clients, diligent monitoring of financial markets, solid investment planning and risk management; plus a willingness to collaborate and mentor others.
She has also generously shared her expertise with numerous students, as each year she selects a student from the University of Wisconsin – Madison to mentor. She integrates her mentee into her team, providing them with guidance on successfully navigating the complex world of investments.
