Background
Members will remember that during BJ Pfeiffer's presidency, her company secured our domain name and established a static site to provide a web presence until such time as TBF was able to build and maintain a site. Strategic planning in 2003 reinforced the need for a dynamic site and a sub-committee (Michelle Conway, Karen Myers, Kathy Bailey, Lori Silverman and Robyn Kitson) began evaluating our needs.

Through a competitive bid process, the committee recommended and the Board approved selection of Interactive Media Solutions to build and host our website. With significant input from the committee, IMS designed the graphical look of the website. Web management tools allow authorized TBF members complete control over the website's content.

Robyn Kitson - InTimeTools
TBF selected Robyn Kitson of InTimeTools to create an extranet for our site. The extranet will provide members-only resources. The InTimeTools product allows us to easily archive organization records, communicate with members and offers a membership directory. We hope to add more tools, including online meeting registration, in the future.

Eve Scheffenacker - ByWord
To ensure a professional message on our site, the committee turned to professional wordsmith, Eve Scheffenacker of ByWord. As she has done so often in the past, Eve donated her time and skills, acting as a sounding board during the earliest drafts, then assisting with writing and finally in editing all content.

The Communications Committee is responsible for maintaining our website. Please contact our webmaster or any member of the Communications Committee with your reaction to the site! We have plans to develop the site further and are open to any ideas for enhancing the site - to address member needs or to better reflect the purpose of our organization.
