TBF members take part in a variety of activities to fulfill TBF's mission to promote and support women in business and to give women a way to contribute their talent, time or treasure to the community. However, one program has evolved to dominate our efforts and distinguish us from other groups - our scholarship program.

TBF formed The Business Forum Foundation, Inc. to address tax-related concerns in developing a scholarship program and worked with the Madison Community Foundation to structure an endowment fund so the giving would be ongoing.
The Foundation distributes scholarships from two distinct funds managed by the Madison Community Foundation. General fundraising and donations strengthen our primary fund or monies may be specifically directed to the Judy Rose Scholarship fund.

The first scholarship of $1,000 was awarded in 1989. Since then, The Business Forum has invested more than $180,000 in higher education for women of all ages.
